::3 movies in less than a week, what is this? Suddenly found myself damn broke...

The first movie was The Prestige, and i think it was the best movie out of all 3. Watched it last Wednesday when we treated isaac to a free movie becos its his birthday. Suspense and Excitement throughout. All those magic trick were really captivating, and it can be quite difficult to understand the plot, especially the climax when Angier tried to make himself disappear and appear again using the machine. I love Alfred Borden better becos of his personality and his plight, and also his rivalry with Angier. All those twists and turns are really fun, but i dun get the last part, when Angier actually clone himself, and that he died a 100 times, once every time when he performed.

"Great magic tricks are composed of three acts: The Pledge, where the magician shows the audience something that appears ordinary, but is probably not; The Turn, where the magician makes the ordinary act extraordinary; and The Prestige, where there are "twists and turns, where lives hang in the balance, and you see something shocking you've never seen before."

Next was DOA on last saturday with guohui and xings. We wanted to watch Deathnote but there was no such show at Jubilee, what the hell?? WEAK cinema! Anyway, the movie sux big time! Firstly, its very short, like 80 mins only. Next, the actors not really chio as we expected, except Christie, and then the plot....is there even a plot at all? Or should i say its lame. Seems that all video-game-adapted movies are bound to fail...The story's about a group of fighters being invited for a DOA tournament on an island. But there was not eventual winner as they only stopped at the semis. There was an attempt to add more depth to the show but quite unsuccessful. The whole show really looked like a video game..

The last one was DeathNote, finally. Watched it just now with the chinese soc lads. Show was not bad, the god of death was quite cute, and the fight between Kira and L was cool. The only bad thing was that there was no ending, but instead, we saw a DeathNote 2 trailer, which only arouses us...I want to watch DeathNote 2!!! Then after the movie, we were talking about a LoveNote...thnx yuyin, kiamian they all for arranging the seating arrangement for us and bringing the rumoured couples together...where has democracy went? This is not funny at all lah...

Guess wad? We walked all the way from hc to orchard!! Okay lar, not really very far also...

Holidays have started, so wad? Holidays are meant to be wasted...::
