hmm...maybe no one tags anymore, maybe no one visits here anymore...sigh...

Final result for block tests EECCB...E for maths and physics, C for Lep and Econs, and surprised that i actually scored a B for GP, shocking isn't it, consider that English was my poorest subject at sec. sch, maybe all those efforts by Edwin Heng has paid off, a little late though...Not a bad result for my first ever block tests at HC, consider that i didn't really study much, quite lucky that i didn't fail any, but also a reminder that i cannot go on slacking...

Yesterday was a little imba, literally a race against time...had a long 会庆 rehearsal at sch until about 7.30pm. It was really messy as not everyone were there, and there were technical errors here and there, some performances were not really prepared...not at all satisfying. After that, chiong home, had a quick dinner and went to j8 at 8.30pm to return some books i borrowed from timothy last november? yea, they were rotting in the house, and felt bad for keeping them for so long. Actually, i finished long ago, juz dun hav the chance to return him though...

Anyway, bought S.H.E's compilation album Forever, and the tracks were not bad...its worth it! After that, chiong to Ang Mo Kio K pool, to play wif kezhong, kin wai and Bryan, cos its kezhong's bday. A bday present would be a punch for him...reach there at close to 9pm...not my luck yesterday as i was very inconsistent, missing noob shorts and scoring tough n unbelieveable ones...The whole k pool was damn full lah...Pool until abt 10.30pm then we go macs hav supper and tok crap...seems that our topics were all revolving around girls...Haiz...came home at close to 12am...

Dunno why i have this sudden urge to blog so often...maybe it signals a revival of my blog, which is seriously rotting like hell...

Just came back from chma aka cathigh music awards for those newbies out there. I must the performance was still acceptable, but was nothing compared to last year. Emcees were not interesting at all, and it was only mark tan's sudden appearance which makes us 'high'. Overall standards were not there, but the technical part was one of the best i've seen. Its great that we could still come up with some a great performance after so many things that happened in this place...Good to see Justin jap back again to show us what he do best in.The contestants were quite common and there was no explosive or unforgettable performance.

And the video...the video that zhongwei emphasises so much on, was total OWNAGE! It was really up to his high standards. Just great! And great to see so many of my former batchmates and teachers and all the familiar faces together. Just felt like a chs reunion:)

It just makes me think, many things don't stay the same forever, don't they?

Went back to chs today to help out in our chs drama performance coming up. Forgive me for advertising it here. Its on the 12th and 13th of August at Victoria Threattre. Anyone who wants tickets can look for me. Don't hesitate, JUZZ come!! Well, i also intended to go for peer mentoring, for no one turned up...maybe that's the culture...haiz...

Now, back to the real topic. I was at the sch auditorium watching the rehearsals when i heard from my juniors that some teachers were leaving the school, teachers who have stayed here for quite a long time as far as i can remember, including, mrs alice long, mrs chung and ms melissa neo...Already, many teachers have left the school, and everytime i go back, i see a lot of random new faces, and most of my juniors are taught by relatively unknown teachers...

Maybe its really true, the personnel in the school is changing faster than we thought, and hak boon is undoubtedly responsible for all these. Maybe we have to bear part of it too, since we are the ones who create history by screwing up the whole school wif our results...resulting in hak boon seeking a change for a school. Maybe he has gone too far in the quest heading for a world-class institution...

Anyway, my junior told me that Alice long got reprimanded by Hak boon in the morning. He said something like "if u can't even control your students, how can you be a good teacher?" Quite shocking to the ears...furthur confirmed it with my bro who was taught by her too. He said she went quite late to class which was the 1st lesson, coming in at 0850 for a 0800 lesson, and her nose was red, so something muz have happened.

Being my maths teacher, i actually hold her in high regard cos she is responsible for my double A1 in E maths and A maths, although i kinda screw up maths now, with an S for my blocks...

Well, that's just one of the stories...in my days, i never really heard hak boon scolding people, always appearing so friendly and approachable ( although some people might disagree...), but my bro told me that he is more of a discipline master nowadays, scolding people for being late for assembly...

It just leads me to think, nothing stays the same right? With some teachers gone and many more to go, it really looks sad. I really can't imagine going back to a school (or a home) without anyone to look for. With all those unfamiliar faces, it just seems so weird and distant. Already, at a conversation on homecoming day, Cai yu ren is hinting that there's no point coming back in the future, since many more teachers will be leaving. And the worst thing is, we can't really do anything to stop this...I really dun wan to see those familiar faces to leave...sigh...

So it all ends here, don't it? Maybe i'm a little late, but dun really have time these few days. Forza ItAliA! The new world champions! Maybe there are debates or whether they deserve it or not, but come on, they are the champs. Full stop and get on with life!

Of course, this match will be remembered for Zidane's mysterious head butt onto Materazzi, but he must have wind zidane up. There are many different versions, some say he called zidane's sis a prostitute, some say he called zidane a terrorist's son due to his Algerian roots...Well, whether's its true or not, i guess only Materazzi himself knows. But then, zidane has no right to just head butt him. What was he trying to show? A team captain, a role model, the nation's hope, for all the responsibilities he carries, is that what he should do? It's quite sad that such a legendary player had to end it in such an ashamed and tragic way, but i'm sure he will always be remembered for his mesmerising skills and magic.

Credit to Italy for putting up such a strong performance. Henry's pace and form maybe back, but its still not enough to save france, and there's still fabio cannavaro's art of defending to keep every ball away from the Azzurri's goal. Penalties are always the most cruel way to decide a match, especially a final. Its just like buying lottery...and its all to luck.

This fantastic football festival has finally ended. Its back to normal life for me and many other ppl. No more sleepless late-nights. No more lack of sleep. But i found my body adapting when i could juz sleep for 2 hrs a day and survive another night of action. Think i have clocked about 34 matches during this world cup, and its quite a massive achievement, consider that i've no cable tv at home...Never being so crazy before....

Time for the challenges ahead. And looking forward to chma this coming friday!

So its all down to Italy and France, for the final showdown in Berlin. Seriously, there's nothing much to separate these 2 sides, but i'm rooting for Italy because of their new attacking style with defensive stability. But France with the resurgent Zidane always looked dangerous. Its a great test for the Italians to keep up the likes Zidane and Henry.

Cannavaro and Pirlo are 2 of the star performers of the Italian side, that have conceded only an own goal in the entire tournament. Battle of the tacticians? Marcello Lippi and Raymond Domenech. An interesting thing to note that these 2 teams are made up of many former n present Juventus players. Zidane, Vieira, Thuram, Henry, Trezuguet from France, and Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Buffon, Cameronesi, Del Piero from Italy.

Although Italy are favourites, don't write off the French yet. For a team that has knocked out Spain, Brazil and Portugal, you don't really wanna mess with them. But the Italians are of a different class. With the match fixing scandal back home, many players could find themselves from being world champions to serie B players soon.

Nothing much to say though, juz wanna enjoy the last match of the World Cup. No joke, but i guess i've clocked more than 30 matches this month...Not bad considering i've no cable TV at home.

Germany has won 3-1 over Portugal in the third-place match yesterday, but its hardly a match at all. Who will remember the third-place country of the world cup? Winning is everything is football, and only the champions will be remembered!

Italians or French?? The Football Festival is here again!

Well, yesterday was quite an imba day. Me and jy decided to go to east coast in the morning to have fun. Took 13 from my house and it was quite a long way. Decided to just pick seashells and bask in the sun, enjoying the sea breeze. Then, we found some kids and decided to play soccer with them. Total ownage. 2 of us take on 4 of them, very tiring...

After that, we were on our way to Macs for dinner, and saw jia shen with his class. Sian, all guys, thought he might bring some gals for us to open out eyes...Wad a friend he is...Then, also spotted guo hui with his cca-mates, hmm...maybe i should come here more often...anyway, jia shen just left his class and played pool with me. He say thay he's stuck at bedok mrt for a few hours, don't know how to get here...The pool area is damn smoky and many ppl were shouting chee bai's and all the vulgarities...bad influence...haha

While we were pooling, bryan just called and ask if i wanted to play pool at amk k-pool, he say kinwai and kezhong were there liao. Wow, that was quite random...After my pool session, which i thought was quite waste money, because jiashen kept on wasting time by taking his shots slowly and overly careful...

Took a long bus ride home after that, and met sherman up for bball outside chs. Another very random thing. Bryan, kinwai, kezhong and puikit just appeared...thought we had a very good game together, but found myself damn rusty...need to practise more and regain my form...haha.
A very tiring day for me...

So, the semis starts today, wif germany taking on italy and portugal facing france tml. Finally, channel 5 has come alive! No need to go outside and watch liao, can watch in the comfort of my home...Germany, as hosts, will always have the advantage, but i'm hoping the italians to spring up a surprise, cos they are quite an impressive team with many players in their prime. For the other match, france has emerged as a title contender after stunning victories against Spain and Brazil. But expect scolari, portugal's best weapon, to knock out the french, either by legal or illegal means...Can't wait for the remaining 4 matches...

Just went for the chs homecoming day. It couldn't have come at a better time. A time to relax and rejoice after the dreadful block tests. To think of it, i think its one of my worst ever. Maybe its a transition period, let's hope...Now that its all over, no point thinking of it too. Screw then screw bah...no choice anyway...

Talking about homecoming, it was one of the occasions that could just bring batches of cathigh old boys together. Saw many of my old friends and the ones who grew with you, the ones who been through thick and thin with you. And the all familiar environment. Its great to be back home:) Even saw my seniors jia sheng and hua ming. And talk a lot of crap about LEP with jia sheng and even cai yu ren, hinting that there may be a huge change of teaching stuff next year. It has already changed a lot since we graduated...

Also saw Edwin Heng, who was dunked into the pool sensationally for 1000 bucks...My bro told me that it takes 1500 bucks to dunk Hak Boon, the principal. I think he'll be damn happy lah, tio dunked can earn 1500 bucks for the school...Yep, and there's Alice Long and her muacee, which tasted okay only...sad to tell her that i screw up maths in block tests, haha.

I think this year's turnout is much better than last year, and the size of the fun fair is also bigger. A tremendous improvement, lol! It great to talk about the good old days and those unforgettable memories! This place just feels more like home than HC though...its the place i grew up in, 10 long years! Got bombarded by a lot of juniors asking me to buy their stuffs...and actually got a free coupon from Mr Fernandez, who was dunked into the pool as well, its a pity that we didn't catch it...

Yesterday went to sherman's house again with bryan, kezhong, puikit to watch 2 quarter finals. Germany eventually won on penalties, watch penalties is damn scary, can get heart attack one...pity Argentina and like their style of football too...

We wnt to play soccer at 1 am in the morning after the first match, and i forgot to wear my total 90 shoes! Decided to play bare-footed instead, but quite difficult and the friction is causing blisters like siao. When we stopped playing, my feet are damn pain lah, and i feel like hopping around...Somewhat regretted playing wif bare-foot...Still damn painful now, how i wish i can chop off my legs lah...Watched the italy match later, and was impressed by the fact that the italians actually won 3-0 and didn't sit back and defend once they got the lead.

Will be going off to jy's house today instead, change camping area liao...don't know if i can survive the whole night, only slept 2.5 hours today...
