Arghhhhhhhh......
So Near Yet So Far......
Hopes of an Olympic medal for 44 years totally vanished...Disappointments
JiaWei lost to her South Korean opponent 4-1 just now, and miss out on a historic medal for Singapore. She won the 1st set 11-8, which seemed a good start, but lost 4 straight sets afterwards. The South Korean had a very unique defensive style of play...I must say that i have never ever seen such a strange player in my life!
So JiaWei lost to the North, and then to the South of Korea...I think that overall, this is a psychological match. The South Korean try to frustrate JiaWei with her defensive play, and JiaWei has lost the mental game today. She needs to be more patient, if she can keep the patience, she will have a good chance of winning. She is not prepared for her opponents defensive style, and had no answer on how to break this defence. Most of her smacks were countered by her opponent. However, she did try to anticipate her opponents style, and try to go defensive...Then she shocked her opponent by giving some strong sudden smacks, which were quite beautiful. Because of frustration, she miss many important smacks.
She is totally frustrated by her opponent...it was a really good mental tatic...
Pressure is really a cursed word, if only such a thing don't exist...
But JiaWei will always be a winner in our hearts...
Thank You JiaWei, Thank You Susilo...
