A Personal MileStone achieved for cross country today!
Took 22mins to complete 4.8km, no walking, chionging all the way, 48th position overall in Mass Run, certainly a great outcome for myself. Looks like all the Sunday weekly gym sessions with zhong hao and Sherman actually worked after all!
At the usual MacRitchie reservoir, when we ran there every year, it was an all too familiar route and environment. At first, I only aimed to overtake the gals lah…oops, cos they running shorter distance of 3.2km n started earlier than us, but its still possible!
The most difficult route was alongside the highway road area, when you will juz see a route in front that leads to no where. No finishing line in sight, no nothing, only bus stops to gauge your progress, so the determination and motivation muz be there to carry me through.
The forest route was not as tiring, u jus need to take advantage of the down slope by ‘flying’ and go slower at the up slope area, but there’s some rocky path close to the highway area, which can really break your momentum…
Overtook a lot of gals along the way, esp when you can see lots of them walking, hahaz. When I reached the tough highway area, the first thing on my mind is to keep my current pace, no matter how slow I go, juz dun WALK, cos you won’t have the movtivation to run again…
Was pacing with Ernest for the whole stretch of the route, saw yunzhou along the highway area, and we motivated each other as well. Saw pui kit and siheng running past me, they are really better than I thought. Esp puikit with long pants!! The first long pants to complete the run! Wad the hell?? Got away with 28th, which was total ownage lah…The last 400m when we turn into Macritchie was the most gek for me. But juz chiong all the way lah, since left so little to run le, so got 48th in the end, not bad for me lah…
Spam the milo truck with 7-8 cups of milo after that, in the end think I had too much milo, and my whole body smells of milo…
Well, hav a good valentine this year. Received many presents, chocos and sweets, hahaz,
HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY everyone!! Some friends like Bryan ask me out for a Bachelor’s night but I was too tired after x-country…and getting sick too,
THE FLU VIRUS HAS GOT TO ME! Who’s fault?

Good job guys! All of you really did us proud? Congrats!
Received the good news last fri from xingzhi, and it is really OWNAGE by chs! 9.6 mean L1R5, as compared to our disastrous showing last year, I really can’t believe it! The future is still bright for us.
Green shorts rox man! Thnx to the batch of 2006, we are proud of you! And the top scorer with 10 A1s was actually my cldds junior, can’t believe it man!
Seriously I really think we tio some strict examiner last year, if not how can screwed up so badly, but at least our juniors did the job for us, and pull us back to a Band 1 sch, Thnx guys!
Disaster after disaster in huangcheng. To be frank, things are really not looking good. The honeymoon period has already gone. I noe that changes are inevitable, in terms of script and actor positioning, but this is really getting me frustrated. I see revolutionary changes everyday, a new version of the script is born everyday, these are not minor changes for goodness sake!
And there’s the problem of su laoshi. Seriously, if no one like this snobbish and attitude guy, why continue to ask him to help in our production? He may be a professional director and actor, I dun deny that, but his attitude is definitely not acceptable. And whenever he comes, he makes everyone unhappy. Do we really need him so much?
I’m lagging behind my own schedule these days. But hu can I blame? I would like to be on the active and start drawing my lights plot and design, but I’m forced to be on the passive. I wan to achieve something, and not juz sit around seeing changes after changes. Tech runs and full runs are becoming disastrous, we dun hav enough time already, especially for me!
Juz dunno wad to say, maybe these are my excuses...but I still abide by my personal motto that
IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING! When there’s a WiLL, there’s a WaY! We will make it. All these are jus challenges testing us to the fullest. Its difficult but its possible. We will put in our best shot.

YES WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!~~~~~OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE~~~~~~3 times ASEAN champions, tied wif thailand, 2 championships in a row, the future sure looks bright for the Lions!
A 1-1 draw was enough at Bangkok for the Lions to clich the ASEAN trophy.
The Lions didn't really played well, esp when they are away at the hostile Thailand stadium, having to withstand the noises made and some noob Thai waves shown from TV.
Bryan, yeo n pui kit came my hse to watch tgt, since watching tgt is always more exciting than watching alone right. Its always good to make some noises around and let emotions fly around.
The lions had to withstand the Thailand attacking machine, and were constantly on the backfoot throughout the match trying to defend the 2-1 they had in the first leg. The Thai's were speedy and accurate in their shots n passes, which contrasted sharply with our failure to keep possession, giving the ball away cheaply, unaccurate passing and a toothless attack.
The frantic moments came when Thailand scored with a nice goal in the 33rd min, due to a Aide failing to keep a check on him. Aide was unsteady throughout the match, certainly a final he would wan to forget. Lionel Lewis was on his best form once again, denying Thailand again and yet again, but he could nothing about the goal.
With the aggregate scores back on level terms, there was no way back for both teams. We had to score to win, and not drag it to extra time or even penalties. Thailand were attacking like crazy, and it seemed a matter of time before they score another one. Can they withstand the pressure? We were like going to have
heart attacks as the match progressed...esp the moment when Thailand had an open goal, only to be denied by Noh Rahman, who threw himself at the shot. Determination not to let another goal was there.
If there was 1 guy who never give up, it had to be
Khairul Amri! The young forward received the ball from the edge of the box, and was immediately closed down by 2 defenders. But he kept possession and unleashed the ball at the right time, which instantly hit the right corner of the net, out of the reach of a full-stretched Thai custodian.
This was the moment and the wonder goal we've been waiting for!
Khairul's the MAN! Hail Khairul Amri! Having missed a last minute free header in the first leg, he scores a precious equaliser for S'pore at the dying stages of the final! We were all hugging each other!
As the clock goes down, Thailand had no choice but to attack wif all they had, but anxiety got the better of them, as they looked nervous towards the end. Our job was to defend all the way. There was also time for Subramani to join in the action, in his last appearance in a S'pore shirt.
When the final whistle was blown, we were hugging each other and celebrating again! The players chiong onto the pitch, couldn't hide their delight, and Khairul Amri was crying as well. We made it!
Champs of SEA once again! 14 ASEAN football championship games without defeat, under the guidance of Raddy Avramovich! To be frank, S'pore didn't really played well throughout the tournament, mustering only 2 wins and 5 draws, not the form you would expect from an eventual champion. Of course, who could forget the 11-0 thrashing of poor poor Laos! Noh Alam Shah won the Golden Boot with 10 goals and the MVP award, proving that he was the best player in ASEAN! But the tournament will be marred by controversial refereeing decisions, which included the penalty given to S'pore on the 1st leg that caused a Thai walkout.
As the tournament drew to a close, let us indulge in our success at the champions once again. Beating Thailand was a huge achievement, esp when they are arugably the best team in the region.
Roar Lions ROAR!黄城夜韵,完美灯光,亮出精彩!::
