Orientation's over, the real life starts now. Lessons start this week, but i think i'm still in my honeymoon...Anyway, i'm preparing to slack until the release of the O level results...Its been a long time since i have really written something, and i found my fingers real stiff when i'm writing. My first piece of homework came yesterday in the form of Maths Tutorial. Sometimes, the lecture is so boring as if its hypnotising me...For Maths we have a relief teacher called Ms Chong who is only 19 this year. Then, there is 1 or 2 China Scholar in our class who is older than the teacher!! LEP was quite slack so proper lessons starts next week...
The War Games and Campfire last Fri rocks totally. During War Games, we were so-called berserkers, anyhow attack the other faculties with waterbombs. But in the end , Artemis still lost...It was free for all, and the war became quite violent...Campfire will remain in my memory for the rest of my life, when we sang our college songs and dance like crazy( of course, a good partner is definitely required). We also joined up together as a train and just go around, cheering about. It was really cool...and bonded us together as well.
Have been returning home late each day...busy at college with ccas and lessons. I joined the Chinese Drama, Badminton Recreation and Judo. Drama was quite slack for now since i'm in the backstage lights department. Our performance at Victoria Threatre was only in March. Basically, there's nothing that we can do currently...The actors are the busiest as they have acting lessons all week...
Badminton was crap as we had to pay a $2 registration fee, and many people were joining, so didn't have much chance to play on the courts. Missed Social Judo today because i have to go make 饺子 with the other LEP people. The taste was not bad, but we had a lot of deformed ones...lol. This is my first time making them, and it was quite a fresh experience...But anyway, i hope to be elected for council too...seems like a dream, who will ever vote for me?
Can't wait for CNY and the chance to go back Cathigh to visit my teachers and juniors. Its been long since i stepped back into the school, 2 months I think. I went back last Friday to support the CCA exihibition, and this Tuesday, with Lan Guan and co. Without cathigh, i will never be what i'm today...Its quite a different feeling to be returning back as old boys...
Heard that O levels will be coming out in less than a month, not sure if i can stay here, but i definitely won't want to leave!

So that ends my first week in a totally new environment. I really enjoyed my time here, and all the activities prepared for us. Let me express a sincere Thank You to the students council! I have been feeling quite tired each day, and the first thing i think of after dismissal every day is to have a good night's sleep.
Wednesday was quite boring in that we have those boring academic briefings, but we also found out that our VP was from Catholic High too. We also had a talk on what the IP students have learnt throughout their 4 years, and the message is to tell us that we are not disadvantaged to them in any way...There were many selection tests that day. and congrats to QiQuan for getting into the Science Special Programme (SSP), making Cathigh proud too!
Thursday is when the fun comes. A lot of station games awaits us. It really bonded our OGs together. We started with Cabbage Captain's Ball, and the cabbage was obviously owned...Almost no one was dry at Street Fighter. Dodgeball was not bad too. But due to the unexpected rain, we had to miss Quidditch and Twin Soccer, which we can really own the others...It doesn't end here. Since its the last day for our OGs, we went to Macs for some more fun. There i saw a lot of NJ people, including Danny, Timothy and Jonathan Chua. They did a lot of embarrassing things like kissing a girl's hand, hugging together and things like that. Whenever they do these things, the whole Macs will crowd around and cheer and try to take pictures...
But then, although we have to together for just a few days, i am beginning to miss my OG now. We had so much fun together...and now we are divided into classes...Maybe they should just divide us into classes on the first day onwards...
My class was 06S6B. Everyone in our class is taking PME and either Geog or CLL. I have done the hard decision to throw away Chem, and i'm not sure if this is going to haunt me...Well, my class has been quite 'disappointing', with only 7 females out of 22, i feel a little sian due to the unequal ratio...We are also introduced to our senior class, and they were like...The games we played were no jokes. We had to pass a polo sweet around using our mouths, and had to lie to the ground. The one passing the sweet had to go over the person...We also had to sing in front of the whole plaza. It was a great time for us, and we were more closely bonded to our seniors. Of course, there's still another dance session, and we have now learnt all the mass dances!
This is just the start to a really promising life in HCI. And what more can we expect? There's still another week of fun to enjoy!

If there was ever one word to describe my orientation experience, it is definitely the word perfect. Exciting, Fun, Cool, it definitely lives up to the theme : Let's Jam! The only thing is that we had to go through a whole morning of boring academic briefings on the various subjects. I struggled through it. I also saw many of my primary school friends who were taking IP there. One thing that amazes us is the ice cream vending machine. When you put the coins inside the machine, the box opens up and some sucker will suck the ice cream up before dropping for you to take. Amazing huh?
The food there was not bad, but i'm starting to miss my CatHigh school canteen...During the afternoon, we joined our OGs and had lots of fun. There were about 13 high school students in mine( wow, that's a lot!). Make some new friends "with sincerity and confidence". Also heard that coronation plaza nearby has LAN! wow, that's good!
We had a very great dance session, although i still cannot get the steps right, and learnt many cheers and songs. I really sensed the Hwa Chong spirit in the SC, which were many enthusiastic and passionate in organising such an exciting orientation, and what more can we expect? Its going to last for 2 weeks! Have fun now before its over! I'm beginning to enjoy college life, and hope it will be a very good and memorable 2 years here!
